Abstract:
The Beboid family of languages has been very little studied in the past. Three surveys (2002-014, 2002-019 and 2004-011 from SILESR) have provided new information on both the location and the relationship between the speech varieties within this family. A summary of present knowledge is presented here and the author invites comments and discussion which might further advance understanding of sociolinguistics in this little known area.
