Bamukumbit (Mankong) [ISO639-3 code: bqt] is a Grassfields Bantu language spoken in the village of Bamukumbit, in the Balikumbat Sub-Division of the Ngo-Ketunjia Division of the Northwest Province of Cameroon. There are approximately 12,000 Bamukumbit speakers.1 The Ethnologue reports the following classification of the Bamukumbit language: Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Volta-Congo, Benue-Congo, Bantoid, Southern, Wide Grassfields, Narrow Grassfields, Mbam-Nkam, Ngemba.
