SIL Cameroon has just been honoured by receiving the 2015 Excellence Award of the promotion of the African languages.
This Award was issued during the 2016 edition of the Night of the African Excellence held in Yaoundé Hotel Sofitel Mont Febe on Saturday May 7th 2016.
Since 1984, the Committee of the African Excellence was created in France by African journalists based in Europe to celebrate best practices in management, administrations, innovations and, others initiatives that come from Africans and that are outstanding in the development of Africa.
For its 33th edition, SIL Cameroon has been selected by a jury of renowned journalists as an organization that has continually been doing much for the development of Africa in general and Cameroon in particular. They were convinced that SIL’s work in national languages is a powerful asset for the economic, social and cultural development of Africa.
This ceremony was attended by more than 500 African mangers in all field of life. 40 amongst them received awards.
