Njyem is a Benue-Congo language (Niger-Congo, Atlantic-Congo, Volta-Congo, Benue-Congo, Bantoid, Southern, Narrow Bantu, Northwest, A, Makaa-Njem (A.80)) spoken to south and southeast of the Ngoila Subdivision, Upper Nyong Division, in the East Province of Cameroon.
